STIRLING ENGINE

The concern for the fossil fuels depletion and the environmental problems makes the development of new technologies and energetic processes necessary. In this context, the Stirling engine run by solar energy presents certain characteristics which make it a serious alternative for applications in which power, heat or cold is required. The low temperature differential (LTD) Stirling engine represents other serious alternative for the use of geothermal energy and waste heat. LAM is involved in several projects regarding the research and application of the solar Stirling engine in collaboration with an outstanding company in the field of renewable energies. Likewise, the design, construction and characterization of LTD Stirling engines have also been boosted.
