ENGINE DIAGNOSIS

The application of proper monitoring techniques to internal combustion engines facilitates an early failure diagnosis. This enables to devise and apply strongly based maintenance and exploitation plans in order to increase the efficiency and reliability while reducing pollutant emissions and operation costs. LAM has developed an advanced methodology based on the measurement and analysis of variables of interest in characteristic points in engines and which is capable of determining the engine real state and potential. This method has been successfully applied in many industrial engines dedicated to the electricity generation in nuclear power plants and cogeneration systems.

The inspection, analysis and diagnosis of engine failures are another field in which LAM has large experience in both vehicle and industrial applications.
